The Florist is Bristol’s most beautiful insta-friendly backdrop with their iconic flower wall, abundance of posies and lush interior. It’s the prettiest setting for you and your pug to enjoy a rose latte and a puguccino, or a botanical peaches and prosecco cocktail and a pugtini.
There will be a menu dedicated to pugs including slices of pupcake, peanut butter sprinkle dougnuts, handmade cookies, gourmet pupcorn, pugtinis, Aperol sniffs, and more.
Plus, each Pug will also receive their complimentary Puguccino!
Humans, you’ll also get to enjoy all the delights at The Florist with their 17 page botanical cocktail list including gin based, classics and modern twists! For the foodies, you’ll love their mouth-watering menu including brunch favourites, deli boards, vegan desserts and more.
This event is primarily for dog owners but if you don’t have your own little Pug, don’t worry, Pug lovers are ALWAYS welcome! This is the perfect opportunity to meet a grumble of pugs, enjoy cuddles and make some furry friends.

Do I need a booking?
Yes! You need a confirmed booking to attend as all Pug Cafe events are strictly booking only and we do not allow walk-ins.
What can I expect at this Pug Cafe?

How do I book if I am a PUG OWNER?
Booking opens 11am on Sunday 24th February 2019 when a booking email address will be released.
You will need to email us with the following details:
1. Your Full Name
2. Number of Pugs – include their names & photos
3. Number of Humans – include ages of children 16 & under so we can calculate your discount
4. Your 1st and 2nd preferred time slots. If you are completely flexible please state but only if you are 100% flexible.
Our previous events have been extremely popular so we strongly advise you send your booking request as soon as the booking email is released if you hope to be successful. It is worth preparing the email in advance and keep it ready to send!
What are the time slots available?
The time slots are 70 minutes long and start at at 9am, 10.10am, 11.20am, 12.30pm, 1.40pm, 2.50pm and 4pm.
How do I book if I am a PUG LOVER?
Booking opens at 11am on Sunday 24th February 2019. An email address specifically for non dog owners will also be release, and you will need to email us with the following details:
1. Your Full Name
2. Total Humans – please include ages of children 16 and under
3. Contact Number
4. Your 1st and 2nd preferred time slots. If you are completely flexible please state so but only if you are 100% flexible.
Where will the email addresses be published?
You will find the booking email addresses on PugCafe.com, Instagram.com/popuppugcafe, Facebook.com/pugcafeuk and PUGCAFE group.
What happens after I’ve sent you my booking request?
We will start processing the requests in the order we receive them, and you should start to hear back within 12 hours but it can take up to 3 days. If you have been successful we will reply to you offering you a time slot, and include the terms of your booking, if you agree you will need to make payment via PayPal.Me.
If we are already fully booked by the time we get to your booking email, we will email you to let you know and ask if you would like to join our waiting list. We will then contact you if and when space becomes available.
How do I pay if I have been successful with my request?
You will need to pay via the PayPal.Me link we send you so please ensure you have signed up for a PayPal account prior to booking.
You must pay your booking fee within 48 hours.We will then send your confirmation email to you once we have received payment.
How much is the booking fee?
£7 each for Pug Owners and £12 each for Pug Lovers.
Children 16 and under receive a 20% discount. Children 6 and under go FREE.
All Pugs go FREE.
What does the booking fee include?
Primarily, the booking fee only covers your entry to the event.
We charge a fee as it takes time and resources to organise events of this scale, and we have a team of staff who work hard to ensure this event is enjoyed by both dogs and humans.
Pug Owners will receive a complimentary puguccino for each of their Pugs, and Pug Lovers will receive a bag of dog treats so they can make friends with the Pugs.
Professional photos taken at the event are also available online post-event, FREE of charge.
Has your pricing changed?
Our booking fee changes for all events depending on size, location and type of event.
However, we have changed our pricing structure so that all adult guests are now charged the same price regardless of how many pugs they bring. This means we no longer charge a higher price for additional guests in your party.
We have also introduced a discount for all children 16 and under. For this event, the discount is 20%. Additionally, all children 6 or under now go free.
I’ve not heard back from you after sending my booking request, what shall I do?
Please note it may take up to 72 hours to hear from us. Please be patient during this time, we’ll always endeavour to help but we’re a small team so may take us longer to respond.
If it has been longer than 3 days please send us a message via Facebook or email us and we’ll be able to let you know the status of your booking request and answer any questions.
Do I need to print off my booking confirmation?
You should print your booking confirmation email and bring it with you on the day. Alternatively, you can also show it to us on your phone if this is more convenient for you.
Can I swap my slot with someone else?
Please do not swap your slot with another guest or give away your time slot whether that be personally, via online giveaway or competition. It is forbidden to sell your booking on.
All changes must be made through Pug Cafe via the booking email. We only accept transfer requests if you are ill, your pug is unwell or has come into season, or you have extenuating circumstances, and it will always be at the discretion of the Pug Cafe team.
Do you have a refund policy?
We operate a strict refund policy and this will be outlined to you in your Booking Terms and Conditions.
Can I just turn up?
All Pug Cafe events are strictly booking only and you will not be able to come to the event without a confirmed booking.
In order to attend you must have read and agreed to our Booking Terms and Conditions prior to paying for your booking, and we must hold your contact details in the event of an altercation with another dog or human at the event that needs resolving.
Does my pug have to meet certain criteria to attend Pug Cafe?
Yes! If you are bringing your pug or pug cross, they must be:
- Up to to date with their vaccinations
- Friendly and well socialised with other dogs
- Well behaved and unlikely to show aggression to other dogs
- Healthy and not showing any symptoms of contagious illness nor suffering (or recently suffered) from Kennel Cough.
- NOT IN SEASON at the event
Will the venue be open as normal that day?
The private Bar area where the event will take place will be closed to the public, but the restaurant section of venue will be open to the public as normal.
Will this event be safe?
We pride ourselves on putting on safe events – you can read our Reviews on Facebook.
Our main priority is to host a safe and fun event for both dogs and humans which is why we take manual bookings and adhere to a strict capacity limit. This is a risk-assessed event, and we will do everything possible to ensure it is safe for all those attending.
Unlike other dog events, Pug Cafe does not use a third party ticketing site and we will ensure your time slot has a happy mix of pugs, pug crosses, humans, families, children etc.
How many pugs can I bring?
Maximum four, but if you want to bring more please request in your booking email. It may not be fulfilled, but we will always try our best to fit in your grumble. Always ensure you are bringing enough people to help take care of all your pugs!
Please do not make large group bookings, if you wish to be in the same slot as your friends please let us know in your email and we will try to accommodate you.
Are pug crosses allowed?
Yes absolutely! We love pug crosses including Jugs, Chugs, Pugaliers, Pugzus and more. If your pug is a mix, please be sure to tell us what mix they are in your booking email.
Are other breeds allowed to attend?
At Pug Cafe Bristol on Sunday 17th March, we will only be welcoming pugs and pug crosses. However, on Saturday 16th March we will host Dachshund Cafe for our sausage friends.
Should I bring an anxious pug?
If your pug is slightly anxious or nervous then it is up to you as a responsible owner to decide whether the event is suitable for them.
This event will have a smaller amount of dogs and humans per time slot compared to our larger events, and we do have ‘ANXIOUS’ bandanas you can borrow for your time slot. You can speak to Anushka at time of booking to discuss any concerns prior to paying.
We recommend taking your pug to a dog-friendly coffee shop, restaurant, bar or café prior to the event to ensure they do well in this environment. If your pug finds it stressful in any way, please do not bring them to the event and contact us asap to cancel your booking.
Do I need a pug to attend Pug Cafe?
Pug Cafe events are primarily for pug owners, but we do have a few spaces per time slot for guests without pugs. The Florist is a smaller venue and more exclusive than previous larger events so spaces will be limited – you will need to book as soon as booking is open.
Where is the nearest station?
Bristol Temple Meads is 28 minutes walk away, or 9 minutes car park.
Is there car parking available?
The Florist is in the city centre so there is no on-site venue car parking, but there are several parking options available, please search Parkopedia with the address 69 Park St, Bristol BS1 5PB to find a comprehensive list.
The nearest and largest car parks are:
Trenchard Street Car Park – £2.50 for 2 hours / 936 spaces / 7 minute walk to venue
College Street Car Park – £2.50 for 2 hours / 936 spaces / 8 minute walk to venue
St George’s Road
West End Car Park – £2.50 for 2 hours / 750 spaces / 12 minute walk to venue

Where is the nearest vet?
The Pug Cafe team are trained in doggy first aid so if you have any concerns please them at the venue. If for any reason your pug requires urgent veterinary help, we will help you call the VetsNow Out of Hours number – 0117 239 3121 – to arrange an emergency appointment.
How can I meet fellow guests?
Please join our friendly group PUGCAFE to meet both your fellow four-legged and human guests. You can get to know guests in your time slot prior to the event, share your photos from the event and lots more. This group is open to pug owners and pug lovers!
