Good news Dachshunds of the Midlands – DACHSHUND CAFE is finally coming to Birmingham!

Summer is coming, and we’re getting this party started! Our famous Dachshund Cafe is back on the road and popping up next at Revolution on Sunday 23rd June 2019.

This is THE doggy day out EVERYONE is talking about so if you have your own Dachshund or just LOVE our sausage friends, don’t miss out on this one-off event.


Treat your bestie to a day out at the Dachshund Cafe and they’ll get to meet lots of furry and fabulous friends, tuck into some delicious doggy treats, and pose for the PUParazzi. There’ll also be a doggy photobooth where you can snap and print off your photos!

There will be a whole menu dedicated to doggies including PUPcakes, DOGnuts, PAW-ty Rings, WOOFins, PAWbons, PAWsecco and more. Plus…

Humans, while your Dachshund is mingling and rubbing paws with other fabulous pups, you’ll get to enjoy the party too! Tuck into Revolution’s mouth-waterling-ly delicious brunch and lunch menus, delicious 2 for 1 cocktails and more…

If you don’t have your own little sausage dog then don’t worry, Dachshund lovers are ALWAYS welcome. This is the perfect opportunity to meet lots of little wiener dogs, enjoy a delicious meal or drink, and all with a side of super cute doggy cuddles!

Dachshund Cafe is strictly booking only and booking opens on Saturday 4thMay at 10am when two email addresses will be released (one for owners and one for lovers)- you will then need to email us your booking request, and we will book you in!


Important information:

Dachshund Cafe is a strict booking-only event and you will need a confirmed booking to attend. We do not allow walk-ins.

Our events are known to sell out in minutes so you will need to set your alarm for just before 10am on Saturday 4th May, and email us your booking request immediately.

The event is organised into 75 minute time slot that start at 9am, 10.15am, 11.30am, 12.45pm, 2pm, 3.15pm & 4.30pm. Further time slots may open depending on demand.

There is a booking fee per person:

Adult Dachshund Owners £7.50 each
Adult Dachshund Lovers are £10 each

All children under 16 get a 20% discount and are charged at £6
Children Under 6 go FREE

All Dachshunds go FREE

The fee covers your entry to this one-off event and if you’re a Dachshund Owner your dog will receive a pupuccino. If you are a Lover you will receive doggy treats to make friends with.

We’re a family friendly event and can cater for groups of up to 6 but please note we do not take large group bookings.

What is the Dachshund Cafe?

Dachshund Cafe is a pop up cafe hosted by events company Pug Cafe. We’ve toured the whole of the UK bringing our famous pop up to cities everywhere, and now we’re coming to Wales!

For one day only, we transform a normal bar or cafe into a cafe for Dachshunds, Dachshund Owners and Lovers so they can enjoy a menu dedicated to dogs, a fantastic social experience and the chance to meet lots of new friends.

Do I need a booking?

Yes you do! You need a confirmed booking to attend as all our events are strictly booking only and we do not allow walk-ins.

Is this event for all breeds?

All our pop up cafes are breed specific so this event is only for Dachshunds.

What can I expect at Dachshund Cafe?

Treat your furry best friend to a special cafe experience just for them! They’ll get to tuck into lots of treats from the doggy menu, meet lots of new friends, mingle and rub paws in a safe, off-lead space. The perfect way to socialise and an incredibly fun doggy day out!

You’ll also get to meet fellow Dachshund owners – chat about all this sausage – and enjoy delicious food and drinks with a great paw-ty atmosphere. There’s also plenty of cute photo opportunities – including doggy photobooth – so you can grab the perfect photo for your doggy’s Insta.

Dog lovers who don’t have their own Dachshunds are always welcome to our pop up cafes, and you can expect to meet lots of Dachshunds, make new friends both furry and human, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience!

How do I book if I am a DACHSHUND OWNER?

Booking opens 10am on Saturday 4th May.

All bookings are made over email. We will release a booking email address at this time and you will need to email us with the following details:

1. Your Full Name
2. Number of Dachshunds – include their names & photos (we will need this for your ticket)
3. Number of Humans – include ages of children 16 & under so we can calculate your discount
4. Your preferred time slot – if you are completely flexible please state

Our events are extremely popular so we strongly advise you send your booking request as soon as the booking email is released if you hope to be successful.

I’ve put my request in – what next?

We will start processing the requests in the order we receive them, and you should start to hear back within 24 hours but it can take up to 3 days.

If you have been successful we will reply to you offering you a time slot, and include the terms of your booking, if you agree you will need to make payment via PayPal.Me. We will then send your booking confirmation – easy!

If we are already fully booked by the time we get to your booking email, we will email you to let you know and you will automatically join our waiting list. We will then contact you if and when space becomes available.

You can ask to be taken off this list at any time.

How do I pay if I have been successful with my request?

You will need to pay via the PayPal.Me link we send you so please ensure you have signed up for a PayPal account prior to booking. You must pay your booking fee within 48 hours. We will then send your confirmation email to you once we have received payment.

How much is it to attend?

£7.50 each for Dachshund Owners and £10 each for Dachshund Lovers.
Children 16 and under receive a 20% discount and are charged at £6.
Children 6 and under go FREE.
All Dachshunds go FREE.

What does this include?

Primarily, the fee covers your entry to the event. We charge a fee as it takes time and resources to organise events of this scale, and we have a team of staff who work hard to ensure this event is enjoyed by both dogs and humans.

Dachshund Owners will receive a complimentary pupuccino each for their dogs and Dachshund Lovers will receive a bag of treats so they can make friends with the dogs.

Professional photos taken at the event are available online after the event, free of charge.

Do I need to print off my booking confirmation?

You should print your booking confirmation (your ticket) and bring it with you on the day. Alternatively, you can also show it to us on your phone if this is more convenient for you.

Can I swap my slot with someone else?

Please do not swap your slot with another guest or give away your time slot whether that be personally, via online giveaway or competition. It is forbidden to sell your booking on.
All changes to bookings must be made through Pug Cafe via the booking email.

Do you have a refund policy?

We operate a strict refund policy and this will be outlined to you in your Booking Terms and Conditions before paying.


Can I just turn up?

All events are strictly booking only and you will not be able to come to the event without a confirmed booking.

In order to attend you must have read and agreed to our Booking Terms and Conditions prior to paying for your booking, and we must hold your contact details on file in the event of an altercation with another dog or human at the event that needs resolving.

Does my Dachshund have to meet certain criteria to attend Dachshund Cafe?

Yes! If you are bringing your Dachshund, they must be:

  • Friendly and well socialised with other dogs
  • Up to to date with their vaccinations
  • Healthy and not showing any symptoms of contagious illness nor suffering (or recently suffered) from Kennel Cough.
  • NOT IN SEASON at the event

Will the venue be open as normal that day?

Revolution will be closed to the public during the event.

Will this event be safe?

We pride ourselves on putting on safe events – please read our Pug Cafe Reviews.
Our main priority is to host a safe and fun event for both dogs and humans which is why we take manual bookings and adhere to a strict capacity limit.

This is also a risk-assessed event, and we will do everything possible to ensure it is safe for all those attending.

Unlike other dog events, Pug Cafe does not use a third party ticketing site and we will always ensure your time slot has a happy mix of dogs, humans, families and children.

How many Dachshunds can I bring?

Maximum five, but if you want to bring more please request in your booking email. It may not be fulfilled, but we will always try our best to fit in your party. But please, always ensure you are bringing enough people to help take care of all your dogs!

Please DO NOT make large group bookings, if you wish to be in the same slot as your friends simply let us know in your email and we will try to accommodate you.

Are Dachshund crosses allowed?

Yes absolutely! Please be sure to tell us what mix they are in your booking email.

Are other breeds allowed to attend?

At Dachshund Cafe only Dachshunds are able to attend. We do host pop ups for other breeds too including Pugs, Frenchies and Pomeranians – keep an eye out for them!

Should I bring an anxious Dachshund?

If your dog is anxious or nervous then it is up to you as a responsible owner to decide whether the event is suitable for them. We do have quieter areas at the cafe where you can enjoy a more calmer experience, and may suit your Dachshund better.

You may also borrow an ‘ANXIOUS’ bandana from us to alert fellow guests your Dachshund may need a little more personal space.

You can speak to us at time of booking to discuss any concerns prior to paying!

Do I need a Dachshund to attend Dachshund Cafe?

Dachshund Cafe is primarily for Dachshunds and their owners, but we do have many allocated spaces per time slot for guests without dogs, too.

We always welcome dog lovers to events – it’s a great opportunity to learn about the breed first hand from owners, make friends, enjoy the company of the dogs and a unique day out.

The nearest station is Cardiff Queen Street which is a 9 minute walk away, and Cardiff Central is a 15 minute walk.

First Aid

Pug Cafe team members are trained in dog first aid so if you have any concerns please see James at the venue. If for any reason your pug requires urgent veterinary help, we will help you call to arrange an emergency appointment at the nearest vet with Vets Now – 0121 6679 507.

Please join our exclusive group DACHSHUND CAFE to meet both your fellow four-legged and human guests. You can get to know guests in your time slot prior to the event, share your photos from the event and lots more. This group is open to dog owners and dog lovers!
